Diploma in applied hospitality Skills:

1. Who is the programme for: The programme is designed to provide the basic knowledge and understanding of key aspects of the hospitality industry, while also being able to provide a practice based environment which will allow students to develop the basic practical skills required by the industry.
2.Career Opportunities: Front desk Assistant, Guest Service Officer, Guest Relation Officer, Reservationist, Receptionist.
3. Course duration:Full Time classes: 8months, Industrial Attachment: 6months Students attend lessons for a period of 8 months from Mon to Fri to complete 8 modules, 6mnths industrial attachment programme.
4. Qualified age: 17years
5. Course intake: Full Time- every 5weeks/modular
Min Academic Entry Requirement:
Four ‘GEC O’ levels (min C6)or equivalent; or
Three ‘O’ levels and 1 ‘A’ level; or
Completion of equivalent High School Qualification; or
Pass in appropriate Foundation/ Certificate programme; or
Other similar qualification; or
Mature Entry Route (MER) Minimum age of 21+ work experience (2 years min) will be assessed on a case-by- case basis.
Min English Language entry Requirement:
Students must have achieved a grade C6 or better in English language O Level, or the equivalent.
All international students for whom English is not their first language and do not meet the above requirements must provide evidence of their linguistic ability by gaining a minimum level of IELTS 5.0 or equivalent, prior to receiving an offer for the course. Otherwise a pass at PCE- upper Intermediate LSBF English programme or equivalent.
All international students for whom English is not their 1 st language must provide evidence prior to receiving an offer for the course.

8. Exceptions: Students, Who have other qualifications, will be assessed on a case-by- case basis.
